Since joining Diversity Media Sales as part of the DMS Champions Initiative, Jamal Akaya has gone from strength to strength, starting his career in the media industry in style thanks to work placements at Wavemaker and Manning Gottlieb OMD.

Jamal is an aspiring and accomplished musician/songwriter. At the heart of our Champions initiative we are focused on the areas that our champions are most passionate about. Our partner XITE, has been showcasing Jamal’s talents across their network, alongside major artists such as Stormzy, Dave and Krept & Konan as a part of their Black History Month collection. We are very grateful to XITE and delighted for Jamal to have his videos available in millions of UK households, alongside artists who have inspired his dream.
